Master Dhiravamsa
Psycho-Spiritual Synthesis
Dhiravamsa is the founder of Psycho-Spiritual Synthesis, the integration of Eastern meditation and Western psychotherapy.
Dhiravamsa was a prominent teacher of our time who dedicated his life to transmitting the Buddha's teachings, adapting them to Western psychology and presenting them in an accessible and direct way. His approach allows us to understand and, most importantly, practice the Noble Eightfold Path, or the path to liberation from suffering, in a simple yet profound way. Throughout his life, he left a valuable legacy that continues to illuminate the spiritual path today.
Ajahn Dhiravamsa, Aggapandita, Graduate in Buddhist Studies, Comparative Religions, and Modern Issues, Professor of Educational Psychology at Mahachulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University, and International Buddhist Teacher specializing in Vipassana Meditation (Mindfulness & Insight).
Ajahn Dhiravamsa came to the West from Thailand in 1964. For 57 years, he taught and practiced the Buddha's Noble Eightfold Path as a Samatha and Vipassana Meditation Master in many countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. On July 28, 2021, he entered parinibbana.
He created what he called PSYCHO-SPIRITUAL SYNTHESIS, a synthesis between East and West, bringing all the Buddha's teachings closer together with the language and concepts of Western psychology.

Ajahn Dhiravamsa is a role model for having achieved, as a human being, the highest and most sublime development of heart and mind.
With infinite gratitude and Metta love, we continue the practice as Master Dhiravamsa taught us, inspired by the teachings of Buddha and integrating concepts from Western psychology to journey along a path of self-discovery, self-growth, and self-realization—the psycho-spiritual synthesis.
May all the blessings of our practice be for the good of all sentient beings.
